Dan has more than a decade of experience in television, radio and print reporting. Before joining ONN, he served as a reporter for WKEF-TV in Dayton, where he specialized in political and government reporting. Dan also worked as a reporter at WSJV-TV in South Bend, Ind., and WHIZ-TV in Zanesville.
Dan held positions as newspaper reporter for the Midland Daily News and Editor-in-Chief for the Eastern Michigan Echo, as well as radio news reporter for several Michigan radio stations.
Dan attended Eastern Michigan University, in Ypsilanti, Mich. His honors include top awards from the Associated Press in four different categories, as well as a First Place award by the Society of Professional Journalists for "Best Government Coverage."
He also has an Emmy nomination and was named in 2004 as the "Best Statehouse Beat Reporter" in the U.S. by CapitolBeat, a national association of statehouse reporters.
When he's not at the Statehouse, Dan enjoys playing the bass and keyboard horribly, he admits, but with heart.
